The OVERHATCHED Public Playtest has now concluded

Our public Steam Playtest has officially come to a close, and we want to send a huge thank you to everyone who joined us!

Over the past several weeks, we've watched players jump into OVERHATCHED, raise dinosaurs, tackle facilities with their friends, discover new ways to create chaos, and most importantly, share their experiences with us.

Your feedback, bug reports, suggestions, and support have been incredibly valuable as we've worked toward bringing OVERHATCHED into Early Access.

You Helped Make OVERHATCHED Better

There's only so much we can learn while testing a game ourselves. Putting OVERHATCHED into the hands of real players gave us an opportunity to see how you approached the game, where things worked well, and where we could make the experience even better.

We've been working through your feedback throughout the playtest, squashing bugs, refining gameplay, improving quality of life, and putting additional polish into the game ahead of launch.

To everyone who took the time to play, report an issue, send us a suggestion, share the game with friends, or simply cause a little prehistoric chaos:

What's Next?

With the public playtest now closed, our attention turns to the next big milestone:

OVERHATCHED launches into Early Access on Steam on August 21, 2026!

We're using these final days to prepare the Early Access build and put the finishing touches on everything before we open the hatchery doors once again.

And launch is only the beginning. We've already shared our Early Access roadmap with new locations, new ways to explore the overworld, character customization, Side Jobs, more dinosaurs, and plenty more planned as development continues.

It has been incredibly exciting to finally see people outside our development team playing OVERHATCHED, and we're looking forward to welcoming everyone back when Early Access begins.

The playtest may be over, but you won't have to wait long.
