One More Week in the Incubator!
Our public Steam Playtest has given us an incredible opportunity to get OVERHATCHED into the hands of more players, gather feedback, and see how the game holds up outside of our own development environment.
As we've watched players jump into the hatchery, we've identified a few areas where we'd like to spend some additional time polishing the experience before Early Access begins. Rather than rush those final improvements out the door to meet our original date, we're taking one extra week to get them into the launch build.
It's not a major delay, but we believe it's the right decision for the game and will help us deliver a better Early Access experience on day one.
OVERHATCHED will now launch into Early Access on Steam on August 21, 2026.
The Public Playtest Continues!
The good news is that you don't have to wait until August 21 to play!
Our public Steam Playtest will remain open while we work toward the new release date. Grab your friends, jump into the hatchery, hatch some dinosaurs, dodge a few forklifts, and keep putting the game through its paces.
Your feedback during the playtest genuinely helps us improve OVERHATCHED. Bug reports, suggestions, and simply seeing how players approach the game have all been valuable as we prepare for Early Access.
Almost There...
We're incredibly excited to welcome everyone into Early Access, and we appreciate your patience while we put this additional week to good use.
We've got plenty planned for OVERHATCHED beyond launch, and this is only the beginning. If you haven't already, be sure to check out our Early Access roadmap for a look at some of the new locations, transportation, customization, dinosaurs, Side Jobs, and other additions we're working toward.
The eggs just need a little longer in the incubator.
